Students will understand the beliefs, themes, and ideas that were present in the Colonial era. They will learn the
reasons why people came to the Americas and what life was like in the early years compared to life in the later years. Students should be able to relate the life of the Colonial people to life in the United States today and how events in the Colonial era have shaped what life is like today. Vocabulary and important people and events will be learned as well as similarities and differences between the different regions in North America. Students will be able to build a model demonstrating Colonial life using advanced technology and present their model to the class.
